Appliance Specific Q&A

1. After running a full cycle on my dryer, my clothes are still wet. Why?

a. If your dryer isn’t properly drying your clothes, then it’s likely an air flow problem. Make sure your lint tray is clean, the vent hose isn’t crushed and is properly installed, and that the exhaust vent isn’t full of lint or debris. If there are no obstructions but your dryer still isn’t working right, give us a call!

2. What temperature should my refrigerator be?

a. You should monitor the temperature of your refrigerator often to ensure that your food is being stored properly. You don’t want your food to go to waste or make you sick! According to the US Department of Agriculture, you should keep your refrigerator at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

3. Why does my washing machine make loud noises and vibrate sometimes?

a. We all do it, we squeeze a few extra pieces of clothes in the washer because we want to get the laundry done a little quicker. We shouldn’t be doing this! If your washing machine is shaking, vibrating, or making loud thumping sounds, then this is usually caused by an unbalanced load. Also, check to make sure the washer is on level ground.
